ALMS Field Guide to Aquatic Plants

About the book:

The purpose of this guide is to highlight the biodiversity which exists in Alberta’s aquatic plant community and to assist individuals in distinguishing between invasive species and their similar-looking native counterparts. This book is not comprehensive of all of Alberta’s aquatic plant species. We hope this book will help to limit the spread of invasive species through education, awareness, and early detection.

The second edition of the book, designed by Intrinsic Design, includes a list of all of Alberta’s prohibited invasive aquatic plants, six new species, and three new invasive look-a-like insets.
